Description
Kurt designs and builds Pinion and Bearing Roller Race Gage Stations in both manual and fully automated versions. The Pinion and Roller Race Gage Stations provide both static and dynamic measurement for many tight tolerance features. The Pinion and Rotor Race Gage Stations are design and built to meet long-term demanding production standards and often measure a part every 8 seconds or less. Most of these gage stations are capable of quick changeover to measure a family of similar parts. The Kurt Pinion and Roller Race Gage stations can be built as full automatic gages measuring a part every 8 seconds to bench type manually loaded sampling gages.
Examples of Pinion and Bearing Roller Race features measured include:
- ID and OD Dimensions
- Dynamic Dimensional Averages
- ID and OD Runouts
- Parallelism of faces
- Perpendicularity of bore to face
- Other required features
The fully automated gage designs include integrated powered or gravity conveyance systems, walking beams or FANUC robot part handling. The part flow into and out of the gage is controlled by the gage station. In fully automated gage stations, 100% of the production is measured complete and discrepant parts are segregated from production flow.
Other features or capabilities can be added within the system such as part blow-offs and part marking.
The KurtSPC Premium software provides real-time feedback to the line operator and can be programmed to provide closed loop feedback to the machine tools or stop the line in certain fault conditions. Data can be stored locally for review and/or exported directly on a network.
