Kurt's AngLock design pulls the part down while the "Pull Type" feature decreses stationary deflection to hold parts securely. With a 0.625" stroke you will be able to load and unload the vise easier and allows for a wider clamping range before having to change the vise set up. Mounts to a 2" grid pattern, or with the risers up to a 100mm grid. Axilary clamping slots, for toe clamps, allow for greater flexability in mounting options.
The PinLock™ system is designed to reduce time spent accurately positioning and clamping fixture plates and subplates. A system requires a minimum of two PinLock™ locators, a primary and a secondary locator. Or two primary bushings can be used to achieve higher accuracy. Liner bushings are used to reduce wear on fixture plates. Receiver bushings are used with the PinLock for locating and clamping. For larger subplates additional PinLocks may be used where higher holding force is required. Additional clearance is required on these PinLocks so as not to influence the primary and secondary locators.
The VB DockLock system is a patented, zero-point workholding system for increasing productivity and reducing setup and changeover. The VB DockLock system integrates with new or existing devices, such as Kurt vises and workholding fixtures, and provides fast, ultra accurate setup on machining centers. Time consuming setup, alignment and bolt down tasks are eliminated. The system consists of a patented hydraulic actuated locking cylinder device that positions and locks
or fixture onto the machine work table. It allows the user to locate or remove the workholding from a machine, or move it offline or to another machine and/or back again in just seconds with zero-point positioning accuracy every time.
